Celebrating Our Winter Warmth initiative!

As part of national Energy Savers Week and as we continue through winter, we’re thrilled to share the heartwarming highlights of our Winter Warmth initiative.

This year, we’ve embraced sustainability and community in new and meaningful ways, ensuring warmth reaches both body and spirit.

Sustainability at the Core This year marked a significant milestone as we re-launched our own unique design for the front of our Winter Warmth bags. Not only are these bags stylish, but they are also made from 100% recycled materials, reinforcing our commitment to the environment.

A Personal Touch To make each delivery special, we included custom-designed greeting cards inside every bag. These cards celebrated our contractors and added a heartfelt note to our efforts, making each recipient feel valued.

The Journey of the Packs

  • 09/12/2024: A total of 61 boxes containing 600 packs arrived at Bridge Mills.
  • 09/12/2024 – 11/12/2024: Each box was unpacked, and a leaflet was added to each bag.
  • 12/12/2024 – 13/12/2024: The packs were allocated to respective teams, ready for delivery.
  • 13/12/2024: All packs were finalised and prepared for distribution.

What’s Inside the Winter Warmth Packs? Our thoughtfully curated packs included:

  • Throw
  • Hot water bottle

Reaching Out This initiative made a significant impact on our community:

  • 34 customers (5.67%) participated in our “Getting to Know You” survey trial.
  • 238 customers (39.67%) were seen face-to-face, allowing us to connect directly and share warmth beyond the physical packs.

Team Effort A massive thank-you to the 53 staff members who participated in this initiative. Impressively, every directorate was represented, with 37.06% of our workforce contributing their time and effort.

Fundraising Success Thanks to the collective generosity of our supporters, we raised an incredible £9,700! These funds are instrumental in making our Winter Warmth initiative a reality. A Huge Thank You to Our Partners This initiative would not have been possible without the generous support of our partners. Ashley & McDonough Compliance Services, Westmorland, and Furness Council, RPS Group, ALM Construction, Dyson Energy Services, Seddon Construction LTD, APEX Services Group, MK Conversions Ltd, and Butler Roofing Ltd, thank you again.

A Note from Lauren Crawford, our Customer Engagement Partner:

“This year was a huge success and one I am very proud of. Through teamwork and commitment, we delivered more packs than in previous years, and the feedback we received was amazing. I am grateful to have been part of such an exciting project. This year’s Winter Warmth initiative stands as a testament to what we can achieve together. From the eco-friendly design of our bags to the personal touch of our cards and the dedication of our teams, this effort has warmed more than just hands — it has warmed hearts. Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Here’s to continuing to spread warmth and care in every season!”
