New Build Homes
By 2025 we aim to have delivered or started 400 additional new homes to include:
- building new homes for both affordable rent and shared ownership
- building new homes in rural communities
- acquiring new homes from private developers on larger developments
- building high performing sustainable homes
In 2022/23 we invested £9m, including support from Homes England, in developing 79 new affordable energy efficient homes.

Proposed Developments
South Lakes Housing are embarking on an ambitious development programme to deliver over 400 new affordable homes across the next few years. SLH has been working closely with our delivery partners to develop these new homes.

Affordable Housing Products
Most of our new homes are charged at affordable rent, meaning they’re charges at 80% of market rates and capped at Local Housing Allowance Rates.
