Environmental Improvements

SLH has been working with Groundwork NE and Cumbria and a number of contractors to design and deliver a number of Environmental Improvements in our neighbourhoods. Consultation with residents will always be a key part of any of these large environmental projects and if we are coming to your area soon you will receive a letter informing you of the proposed improvement works, giving you the opportunity to feedback and have your say on the initial proposals.

We will be engaging with tenants, stakeholders and local the local community to ensure we are getting the best value from any improvements and looking to overcome some of the difficulties experienced by people locally. Whether this is parking, low usage of green spaces or bin storage issues we will collaborate to look for the most suitable solution.

There are a number of current projects happening from the early consultation stages through to nearing completion and these include areas from Owlet Ash Field in Milnthorpe to Swan Street and Hart St in Ulverston. Proposals for future environmental investment projects are being finalised and will be shared with residents once finalised.
